SHADOW, a new video work by Slater Bradley in collaboration with Academy Award-nominated cinematographer, Ed Lachman, premiered and completed a six month run at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The short film imagines a prologue to the film Dark Blood (1993), which was left unfinished due to the untimely death of River Phoenix. Based on Lachman’s memories of working on the original film, Bradley and Lachman revisit Phoenix’s character while building upon the original narrative.

The piece will be screening at the Aspen Museum of Art from December 9, 2011 through February 5, 2012 (with opening reception the evening of December 8th).
