Stacey Foster is a film/video editor based in NYC. She most recently edited ANIMALS DISTRACT ME, a film by Isabella Rossellini, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. This docu-fantasy film explores a “day in the life” of the animal obsessed Rossellini.

Over the past few years she has edited a variety of web series, including Isabella Rossellini’s award winning short films GREEN PORNO and SEDUCE ME for the Sundance Channel. The GREEN PORNO series has played at the Tribeca, Toronto, and Berlin Film Festivals. Stacey has also edited numerous webisodes for men’s magazines such as GQ and Made Possible. She edited ART WALK ’09 for director Mac Premo, which won an Emmy for best commercial.

Stacey’s documentary credits include a half-hour special for VH1 about Pearl Jam’s iconic album “Ten” and the foreign language short documentary LIFE FOR A CHILD, which tells the story of three children struggling to survive with juvenile diabetes in Nepal. LIFE FOR A CHILD premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the award for Best Short Documentary at the 2009 Cinequest Film Festival. She also co-produced the award winning documentary Windfall, which tells the story of the inhabitants of a small, rural town in upstate New York and their struggle whether or not to allow industrial wind turbine development amidst their homes. WINDFALL won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2010 DOCNYC Festival and premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. The film is scheduled to hit theatres in New York in January of 2012.

She not only works in the edit room, but has served as on-set editor in such remote locations as Nepal and Alaska to make the post production work flow more efficient. She is a member of New York Women in Film and Television and is currently co-directing a documentary about Brooklyn artist Mac Premo and his buzzed about Dumpster Project.
